I'm attempting to create an image of Century Tower as a lighthouse - without it looking cheap or ridiculous. So far... not much luck. Anyone have any thoughts? Time to help? Can this even be done?!
Ideally I'll have it as a simple Vector image to be used in several different outlets...
I have some vector graphics of the Tower that you can use freely. I'll email them to you. You can also try www.sxc.hu. Search for "lighthouse" and find the type of image that will fit your tower image. Then have fun with Photoshop. Are you looking to do vector or photo-realistic?
Feel free to email me the Tower image you had in mind using and I will have a go at it. akirby@ufl.edu
magzalez: the Leadership Development Institute is refocusing their business strategy to be Florida Leadership experts. They wanted a lighthouse image for their website, etc. This was my solution.... hopefully they'll accept it!
Great Illustration overall, but few thing to consider.
What purpose does do the warn edges have in the design? I don't feel like they jive with your explanation above.
The green highlights in the tower illustration are distracting, I would stay with the mostly analogous color scheme. The ring around the towers are nice, but the center most ring draws my eye to it instead of the tower. Maybe lighten it up a bit.
I am attempting to capture the essence of about 30 hours worth of meetings, all discussing business strategy, alignment of principles, etc. It will, no doubt, take several stabs for me to tack down a brand for the institute. This was the image stuck in my head after all the meetings.
