Here are the notes taken from the August 4th meeting.
Logo Submissions (Final Choice)
The group decided on logo(s) two and three (stamp logo within the circle). Al Kirby will finalize the logo file and will post it to the site for all to use freely.

Rethinking the Purpose of the CDG
We've seen a decline in attendance so we had the discussion as to why. The main purpose of the CDG was to help UF designers with their UF related projects. With that said, we've come to the conclusion that there really aren't many folks on campus working on, or starting any "major projects". If no one has any UF projects to discuss, then the CDG will begin to fail in it's initial purpose of helping UF designers with their design projects. We decided to not only talk about UF work, but to also discuss design in general. Meaning, If you have any design related projects (UF and non UF) that you would like to talk about, then we will have that discussion. After all, design is design and learning is learning. I would hope that folks would be more inclined to join us for design discussions.
What's Next?
Brent Ferraro volunteered to redesign www.ufcdg.com ;-), and Jeff Stevens volunteered to design a Twitter theme. Thanks a bunch for your support fellas.
The next meeting date, time, and place are totally open. We'll play things by ear to see what the future holds in store for the CDG. This is our opportunity to connect and learn from each other. We can do ANYTHING with the CDG, but it's up to everyone to make suggestions.
